Every year, you should be taking an inventory of your protective equipment as well as your uniforms. If they are showing signs of wear and tear, look to replace strap, shoestrings, buttons, etc.
How does your uniform look? Are your hats riddled with sweat rings and faded? Shirts missing buttons? Pants fading and a different color of gray? Shoes looking worn out and tired?
